SAGaPS is proud to collaborate on the Women in Equality for Lasting Peace initiative

Women in Equality for Lasting Peace Empowering Women to Lead, Negotiate, and Shape Peace SAGaPS is proud to collaborate on the Women in Equality for Lasting Peace initiative—a transformative training program that equips women with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to play a central role in peacebuilding and negotiation processes. This initiative focuses on providing formal education and capacity-building for women, including modules on conflict resolution, mediation, political participation, and strategic negotiation. The ultimate goal is clear: to strengthen women’s leadership at the peace table and embed gender equality in every layer of peace processes. For the 2023–2024 cycle, the program created a unique platform for Sudanese and Ukrainian women peacebuilders to connect, share experiences, and co-develop a joint peace statement—a powerful act of solidarity between women facing distinct but parallel conflicts. This cross-regional dialogue brought to light shared challenges and mutual visions for gender-sensitive peace. Looking ahead, the 2024–2025 edition of the initiative is dedicated to: “Women in Equality for Lasting Peace: Sudanese Women Leading the Path of Peace” This focused cycle aims to deepen local ownership and amplify the voices of Sudanese women who are at the forefront of advocacy, negotiation, and grassroots peace initiatives in their country. Through this ongoing partnership, SAGaPS contributes to a growing global movement that sees women not as beneficiaries of peace—but as architects of it.

Our Commitment with the OSCE Trusted Experts in Peace and Democratic Resilience SAGaPS consultants have contributed to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) through field missions that support peacebuilding, democratic governance, and electoral integrity. Our team members have been deployed as election observers, gender advisers, and political analysts, reinforcing the OSCE’s commitment to free, fair, and peaceful electoral processes across regions. Through these engagements, we bring on-the-ground insight, impartial analysis, and deep expertise in gender-sensitive approaches to conflict prevention and democratic development. ✅ Our OSCE mission highlights include: – Participation in Election Observation Missions (EOMs) in Europe and Central Asia – Engagement in monitoring and reporting on political and human rights issues – Application of gender-responsive methodologies in conflict-sensitive environments – Contribution to training and briefings within OSCE frameworks Our consultants are not just participants—they are active shapers of peace diplomacy and democratic transformation.

Permanent Women Forum for Dialog and Reconciliation

Academic Engagements and Strategic Initiatives for Peace Bridging Education, Gender, and Global Peacebuilding SAGaPS consultants and experts actively collaborate with international academic institutions to advance education and capacity-building in the field of peace and security. In partnership with the University of Naples "L’Orientale" and the University of Trento, our team contributes to training programs and academic initiatives focused on conflict transformation, gender mainstreaming, and inclusive peacebuilding. Expanding this engagement, SAGaPS is currently co-developing a groundbreaking initiative—the Women’s Forum for Dialogue and Reconciliation—in collaboration with the Rotary Peace Foundation and the University of Naples Parthenope. This platform is entirely dedicated to promoting women’s leadership in peace processes, with a special focus on amplifying the voices of women from the Global South. The Forum will serve as a space for knowledge exchange, solidarity, and strategic advocacy, supporting women to take active roles in dialogue, negotiation, and post-conflict recovery efforts across diverse regions. Through these partnerships, SAGaPS reaffirms its commitment to education as a powerful driver of gender-inclusive, sustainable peace.

Advancing Gender-Responsive Peacebuilding in Conflict-Affected Regions

Strategic Engagement with IOM in South Sudan Advancing Gender-Responsive Peacebuilding in Conflict-Affected Regions SAGaPS consultants have collaborated with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in South Sudan, supporting the development of a comprehensive peacebuilding strategy in the River States. This consultancy focused on promoting local ownership of peace processes and elevating the role of women as key agents of conflict transformation and reconciliation. Working closely with community leaders, women’s groups, and local authorities, our consultants contributed to a context-driven framework that integrates traditional conflict resolution mechanisms with international gender and peacebuilding standards. ✅ Key contributions to the IOM project include: – Designing a gender-sensitive peacebuilding strategy tailored to the River States’ socio-political dynamics – Facilitating dialogue between local actors, including women peacebuilders and youth leaders – Providing policy recommendations on inclusive governance and post-conflict recovery – Ensuring alignment with the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in fragile contexts Through this work, SAGaPS reinforced IOM’s commitment to inclusive, community-led peacebuilding in one of the world’s most fragile post-conflict environments.

While our OSCE roles focus largely on Europe and Central Asia, our EEAS engagements extend to Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia—reflecting a truly global commitment to democratic processes and peaceful transitions. Our team brings a strong gender-sensitive lens and contextual knowledge to each mission, ensuring that electoral assessments reflect the realities on the ground and support inclusive governance.

Our work engages with the field of urban health as a strategic dimension of peacebuilding—where gender, governance, and public well-being converge. Our consultants collaborate with key platforms such as URBACT, the WHO Urban Health Initiative, and other international networks focused on inclusive urban development. These partnerships allow us to contribute gender-responsive and context-sensitive expertise to city-focused strategies that promote social cohesion and resilience. By aligning with global urban health actors, SAGaPS helps ensure that urban spaces evolve not only through policy and planning—but through inclusive, peace-oriented approaches grounded in equity and local realities.
