However, building peace transcends the mere absence of conflict; it necessitates practical tools to dismantle inequality and address the deep-rooted factors of discord..
SAGAPS has developed three modules aimed at equipping leaders with the knowledge and skills to foster sustainable peace and create a just world.
Detailed module highlights:
Introduction to and analysis of conflict: This module introduces the concepts of positive and negative peace, using participatory group activities and discussions to critically analyse conflict and emphasise the importance of equitable resource distribution as a peacebuilding strategy.
“Building good relationships” with neighbours and theory of change: This module explores the importance and nuances of building strong relationships sat local, national and international level, highlighting the Theory of Change as a useful framework for achieving sustainable peace.
Systems thinking and its relevance in building corruption-free societies : This module introduces systems thinking, focusing on its critical role in fostering a corruption-free society, with particular attention to the health sector as a foundational pillar of positive peace. Participants are invited to reflect on how corruption interplays with other pillars and the complex interests involved.
More to come : We are continually evolving our training programme to address emerging challenges and deepen the impact of peacebuilding efforts. Stay tuned for additional modules that will further enrich your learning experience and expand your
