POLICY AND RESEARCH
SAGAPS conducts research and analysis on a variety of issues, all related to peacebuilding, and using different methodologies. The results from this work eventually become the basis for the organization’s activities in relation to advocacy.
CAPACITY BUILDING STRENGTHENING
We can support you with tailored trainings, capacity building, seminars and workshops, on the eight pilars of positive peace. Our capacity building expertise covers gender and secuirty, education and health in emergecy, civilians protection, environment and conflicts, humanitarian and human rights.
SUPPORT HIGH LEVEL ADVOCAY
We work with governments, policymakers, (I)NGOs, media, civil society, and conflict actors themselves to design strategies and policies to solve conflict and open innovative paths to peace. In particular, SAGAPS works with various institutions and NGOs so that they can promote the participation of women to peacebuilding and security processes.

SAGaPS offer a wide range of courses, capicty-building and training activities for diverse audiences, such as students, academics and researchers as well as professionals from government agencies and international and non-governmental organizations.

Capacity Strengthing on Women, Peace and Security
Increasing the full, equal and meaningful participation of women in peacemaking, conflict prevention and peacebuilding efforts is a key priority for SAGaPS.
This is why, one of our main services is to offer advice on Women Peace and Security and in particular on the Security Council Resolution 1325.
Strategies and Policy support for Education in Conflict and Emergency
SAGaPS believes in promoting quality education in situations of emergency—caused by conflict, disaster or epidemic— early recovery and transition to development. However, emergency responses often do not sufficiently include education.
SAGAPS considers imperative the inclusion of education in humanitarian interventions, and offers advice about this innocative approaches.
Advising on Humanitarian Law and Security
International humanitarian law protects those who do not take part in the fighting, making a distinction between civilians and combatants.
SAGaPS offers technical advice to armed forces and humanitarian actors creating awarness about IHL and about the consequencies of humanitarian violations.
Analysis on Urban Health in Conflict and Emergency
Conflicts and emergency situations are considered as one important structural determinant of urban health. SAGaPS follows the works of the World Health Organization and its Commission on Social Determinants of Health, affirming the need for public health to address root causes.

Mediation and Dialog to support Reconcilation
Mediation and dialogue as a cornerstone of peacebuilding and social cohesion. The nature of the conflict varies according to the region, the cultural and social context.
SAGsPS has a network of neutral mediators, who taking into account the local context, help to resolve conflicts through dialogue.
